Hi all
Currently accept a V361 and accept my Heaven HD remote ready to alter the volume on the amp using the punch through pick and Yam code. Looking to upgrade to the V667 and want to make sure I can carry on controlling the amp volume using the Sky HD remote. Anyone working this way with the V667? If so what code did you use? Hoping that it works and uses the same gear up I take at the moment
Cheers and happy new year's day to you all

How-do-you-do all,
Just later on a bit of buying advice. I'grand looking for a new receiver, afterwards viii years of service with a Sony STRDB780. I'll be plugging it upwards with a Sony 570 Blu Ray, a Heaven Hard disk drive box, and a Samsung 40" LCD - though that'll exist irresolute to a 3D LED gear up quondam over the next 18 months...
Considering I've always liked Sony, I'm drawn to the STR-DH810, which seems to have got good reviews and is in my cost range. Just the Yamaha RXV667 and Onkyo TXSR608 seem to be in it'due south course and reviewed well also.
I but wondered what I'd be getting that's different in the Yamaha over the Sony - the comparison tables seem to show it'd merely exist an extra HDMI input I'd be getting?
I appreciate that the sound may exist better too, merely for my setup, which is not my own home, I am probably not able to make the all-time of Whatever receiver'southward quality of sound, and so functionality and connections and being able to slim downwards on the corporeality of cables are probably slightly more than important. I obviously want something that sounds practiced, but my point is that if the difference is minimal to a novice like me, information technology'southward probably won't make much divergence.
As a footnote, I'g a sucker for any techy features, and I've seen mention of iPod docks and bluetooth connectors, only if there'due south anything like DNLA support or networking, this'd be pretty handy to have also - but not killer.
And so if anyone could offer whatsoever thoughts on my assumptions and communication well-nigh the best between the Sony 810 and the Yamaha 667, with the proviso about audio quality, I'd exist grateful.
Many Cheers

DLNA network enabled AV receivers exercise be, simply they come at a premium. The cheapest Yamaha network enabled AV amp is the £850 RXV2067.

Yeah, I did know that they'd exist expensive, simply was simply using it as a bit of an example to prove the kind of features that are interesting to me. But if there's anything worth considering between the two.... ?

Simply if there'due south annihilation worth considering between the 2.... ?
You could look at AV amps with USB and net radio capabilities?
Pioneer VSX920:
Pioneer VSX920
Yamaha RXV1067:
Yamaha RXV1067
The Pioneer is closer your original budget and probably the cheapest you'll get a electric current AV amp with internet radio for.

Hi guys I am thinking of getting this amp. Im going to be replacing an sometime Denon one box system. How would the speakers from that organisation sound with this amp? As I would ideally similar to expect a while earlier I buy new speakers! And I know the sub wont piece of work merely thought I could live without a sub for a few months
Heres a link to my current system
Denon DHT500 << UK >> The DENON DHT-500SD System

Yes I have my xbox connected to hdmi3 as well worked just the same as everything else didn't have to do annihilation special. Just enabled 5.1 over HDMI on xbox every bit it was in stereo. Mayhap yous could endeavor some other cable or HDMI socket. My Xbox is fix to 1080p but that shouldn't make any deviation.
Cheers mentm
I've changed the XBox to output 720p which worked, i've then inverse information technology 1080i, which once more worked but setting it to output 1080p causes the problem mentioned.
No video but audio OK.
anybody else have the same TV, Amp and Xbox combo issue?
no sure were to look at present - is it amp, television receiver or xbox with the fault. Have tried 4 different hdmi cables, ii of the HDPlatinums from HDCable and ii QED cables from a local HiFi store
XBox works fine via HDMI straight to TV @ 1080p with aforementioned HDMI cables.
grrrr, annoyed now.

Thank you. I have the aforementioned question regarding whether a change to the Yammy would be an "upgrade" from my Cambridge Sound 540. I really doubt it. I recall getting a Yammy at around the £300 marking about 4 years ago, replacing a Rotel pre/pro-power combo and I was gutted. I replaced it with the cheaper Cambridge and information technology was astonishingly meliorate, alas lacking many facilities.
Hey Keiron, replaced my CA 540 with the 667 and noticed a remarkable difference right away. I know its a bit of a bind, but if you can be bothered to unplug your CA and take it down to a shop and test it confronting the 667 yous will be impressed
Ane of the reasons I upgraded and went for the 667 is its ability to handle music aswell equally dwelling house movie theater, something my CA did brilliantly Merely upgraded iv months ago and havent looked back

As a proud new owner of this amp and a ready of boston soundware xs 5.1 speakers, i have 1, rather broad question.
How much sound setup and tinkering is mostly required or should it exist good to become straight from the box?
This is a considerable step up from a rather shabby one box jvc jobbie ive simply disowned.
It should take you most v minutes to calibrate the organisation after you've connected everything. Yous basically plug the supplied mic into the amp and follow the instructions. The whole thing is automatic. What DSP settings you use is up to you and your preference so tin can't actually say how long your tinkering will take.

Probably too late now I've got information technology, only is the RX V667 amp compatible with 3D TVs? I gather you demand to use i.4 HDMI cablevision for 3D...
The RXV667 has a version ane.4 HDMI interface. New cables are not required in gild to stream 3D content and existing cables will suffice. The RXV667 can passthrough 3D signals from a 3D player to a 3D TV.
